Professor Dundr is a top expert in the field of pathological anatomy.<\/strong> He is the leader of a scientific group at the Institute of Pathology of the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University and General Faculty Hospital in Prague which deals mainly with oncology focusing on a wide range of female genital cancers, but also other malignancies including, for example, melanoma, breast, pancreas, colon, kidney and prostate cancers.<\/strong> In connection with significant methodological development, in addition to traditional histopathology and immunohistochemistry, molecular biological methods are also used in research.<\/p>

Various techniques including sequencing (Sanger and NGS), qPCR, in situ hybridization, and many more are available in the molecular pathology laboratory. The group cooperates very closely mainly with the research team of prof. Cibula, as well as experts and research teams from various research institutionds and clinics across the Czech Republic and also participates in projects in cooperation with centres from Hungary, UK or USA.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The research team led by prof. Dundra belongs among the respected teams mainly in the field of gynecological pathology. This is proven also by several leading, frequently-cited publications with strong impact factor, or prof. Dundra’s authorship of the chapter in the monograph Gynecologic and Obstetric Pathology, which was edited by experts from the USA.<\/p>
